K-9 Unit

Hax

The Dewey Beach Police Department reinstituted the K9 unit in August 2007.  The Dewey Beach Police Department researched different kennels and contacted several police agencies with K9 units for their recommendations.  A decision was made to travel to Vohne Liche Kennels located in Denver, Indiana to evaluate their canines.  After testing and evaluating several canines, a German Shepherd was selected by the department.
