Uniform Patch
1981-1992 Uniform Patch
The Dewey Beach Police Department's current uniform shoulder patch was designed by members of the Department in 1992, at which time it was adopted and has been used continuously since that time. It is used on the sleeves of all uniform shirts, blouses and winter jackets.
The Dewey Beach Police Department receives a large number of requests for our shoulder patches. Therefore, we've had to establish a policy to limit the distribution of the Department's shoulder patches. The Dewey Beach Police Department's policy prohibits providing official uniform shoulder patches to anyone other than sworn law enforcement officers who make an appropriate request on their Department's official stationery (original - no copies). Also we will exchange shoulder patches with another agency if we have not recently done so. We need to receive a patch in order to send one out.
All patch requestors meeting this criteria should mail letters to:
Chief of Police
Dewey Beach Police Department
105 Rodney Avenue
Dewey Beach, Delaware 19971
We hope that you will understand that our policies reflect the ever-increasing cost of our patches and that it has become more and more difficult to meet the number of all who desire our patches.
Requests for patches are not accepted via e-mail
